Dragonslayers 2007 - The Soggy Dragon!

Whey ya bugga man, when's this rain ganna stop? This years venture to Lanchester turned, as have most rallies this year into a bit of a mud bath. This didn't stop most of us having a hell of a time but did put a bit of a dampener (see what I did there) on some peoples weekend. Banksy and Julia for two decided to call I quits at dawn on Satda due to going to kip in a tent and waking up in a paddling pool. This was due to some numpty being overcome by gravity in the wee small hours and taking out four tents in a row all in our company. Could've been worse, he/she could've had the bikes over, then there would've been bother!

Weather aside the rally itself was, as always, an absolute belter and as usual the Dragonslayers ran themselves ragged all weekend making sure us punters were kept happy, although how they manage to do this whilst maintaining the illusion that they're just chillin out havin a beer amazes me. The pubs in the village were drank dry, bands shouted at, things bought from stalls and sleepy thoughts ignored. Tabs were taken outside where regular falling over display teams had been laid on especially for us social lepers, grand.

Any one not heard aboot Daz Burns' Tattoo yet? He finally plucked up the courage and booked himself in. Unfortunately the sheer size and complexity of his first ever tattoo was a bit too much and he ended up hurling over the tattooist. Most embarrassing. So what was this extravagant artwork that belittled a rufty tufty biker? Was it a backpiece, sleevejob, nah, his bairns initials!!! Heh heh, live that down ya bugga!

Congrats to Dirty Arse - Best Engineering Trophy for his matt black and purposeful T120 hardtail with foot clutch and hand change. Very nice, and to Howard who deserved his best in show trophy after Billy had his lugs all day in the Queens Napper. His was the Satin Black Harley which was indeed V. perdy.

A big thanks to the DJ and the Dragonslayers for not forgetting wor Wobbs was missing the party and dedicating a song to him on Satda neet, nice touch, thanks a lot.
